Ergonomics for power computer users

Correct ergonomics are very important, wrong postures and sitting may lead to serious injuries. Read the scary entry on wikipedia on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and you will realize the importance of ergonomics.

Some tips I always get from my ergonomics teacher is to take frequent short breaks and regular exercise apart from the following tips:

I refer to the image that indicates that the keyboard should be raised from the area where the space bar occurs (the front portion). Does this mean that the keyboard manufacturers and laptop designers who provide for a raised back portion of the keyboard/laptop are doing the wrong thing? Would appreciate some clarifications on this point.

i am a physio by proffessipn and i found this article very useful. A pictures says a thousand words and this article included a lot of them. it also assists me a lot in explaining to my client about the importance of proper ergonomics.
